Every score is a weighted blend of measured components review velocity, rating decay, complaint density, pricing room. Re-run the engine on the same data, get the same numbers. The math is versioned and the changelog records every change.
You get briefing text alongside each score that's safe to paste into Claude or any LLM for follow-up but the engine itself never calls one.

Built by an indie app dev, for indie app devs.
I shipped my own Shopify app, then spent every "what should I build next?" weekend doing the same painful research by hand: scrolling listings, reading hundreds of reviews, trying to feel out which categories were crowded and which were quietly cracking open. There was no terminal for it so I built one.
Apps Almanac is the tool I wanted: an independent, weekly read on the whole App Store, scored the same way every time, with the seven-year history that tells you whether a gap is new or has been sitting there for years. No hype, no black box just the numbers I'd want before betting months of work on an idea.
